About This Role

This entry-level management position assists in the daily operations of restaurant, bar, and room service departments, focusing on menu planning, sanitation, staff supervision, and guest satisfaction. The role ensures compliance with standards and legal obligations while maintaining the operating budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations in Restaurants/Bars and Room Service
  • Assist with menu planning and maintain sanitation standards
  • Supervise and assist servers and hosts during peak meal periods
  • Monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met and provide feedback
  • Participate in department meetings to communicate departmental goals
  • Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • Communicate food quality and service level issues to Chef and Restaurant Manager
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws
  • Open and close restaurant shifts
  • Supervise on-going training initiatives and coach employees regarding performance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration
  • 3 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area with high school diploma OR 1 year experience with an associate's degree

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage/culinary with a high school diploma, or 1 year experience with a 2-year degree in a related field
