Assistant Project Manager I

About This Role

This role supports project managers in coordinating and overseeing the execution of construction projects, assisting with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring safety compliance. The Assistant Project Manager I monitors progress, communicates with contractors, and maintains project documentation to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and implementation of concrete frame and formwork projects
• Perform jobsite inspections/audits of shoring, rebar/pt installation, safety, and quality
• Assist in managing project productivity, costs, quality, and safety consistent with company policies
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
• Create and coordinate material and equipment schedules and promote their efficient use
• Coordinate all subcontractor and vendor contracts and associated processes and procedures
• Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for general support of the organization

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of work experience supporting construction project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to analyze and organize information
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations
• Ability to travel and work for extended period of time on projects outside of office area

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related degree, or its equivalent
• 1-2 years of work experience successfully supporting similar primary responsibilities
