About This Role

Manage all phases of data center and mission-critical construction projects as an owner's representative, overseeing budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, and close out services. Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in leading the project team, setting goals, and developing policies and procedures
  • Monitor design and construction activities for compliance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards
  • Monitor, evaluate, and develop project budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates
  • Review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices
  • Forecast, identify, and address areas of potential liabilities and risks
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure objectives are met
  • Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships and manage conflict resolution
  • Communicate complex ideas and persuade others to facilitate successful project conclusion
  • Assist in the evaluation, development, and selection of standards, protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • Strong history of experience representing owners on capital programs, facility upgrades, renovations and additions
  • Demonstrated experience with project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues
  • Knowledge and ability to supervise people including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development
  • High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications
  • Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule and budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • Strong history of experience representing owner’s on capital programs, facility upgrades, renovations and additions. Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
