Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology

About This Role

Kennesaw State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology to teach, advise students, conduct research, and lead scholarly activities within the School of Instructional Technology and Innovation. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses of instructional technology topics
• Advise M.Ed., Ed.S., and Ed.D. students, including serving on Ed.D. dissertation committees
• Conduct and disseminate research, scholarship, and creative activities in the field of instructional technology and innovation
• Participate in professional service to the School of Instructional Technology and Innovation, Bagwell College of Education, Kennesaw State University, and the field of instructional technology

Requirements

• Earned doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in Instructional Technology or a closely-related field (by time of hire)
• Experience in teaching instructional technology topics to aspiring or practicing educators (e.g., university teaching, faculty professional development, and/or P-12 teaching experience)
• Experience in delivering online, hybrid, or face-to-face courses
• Experience in conducting scholarly activities in the field of instructional technology
• Experience in instructional technology and innovations within PreK-12 contexts, higher education, or other organizations

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate, or the foreign equivalent, in Instructional Technology or a closely-related field

• Experiences in designing face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses
• Teaching experience in higher education
• Record of research, publication, scholarship or creative activities within the field of instructional technology
• Record of collaborative work with colleagues
• Experience with applying for or securing external funding
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Artificial Intelligence for Education
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Digital Literacy
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Innovative and Emerging Technologies
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Maker Education
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Instructional Design
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Project Management
• Expertise and/or professional activity in Personalized Learning
• Teaching experience in PreK-12 schools
• Experience as a technology specialist/coach or technology director in PreK-12 schools
• Licenses, certifications, or activity within professional organizations in the fields of education or instructional technology
