This tenure-track Assistant Professor position involves performing basic and translational research in molecular mechanisms for heart disease, conducting independent research, and collaborating on multidisciplinary projects within the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Michigan Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic and translational research as an assistant professor within the research labs of the department
- Develop and perform scientific protocols
- Organize and discuss research results
- Submit scientific manuscripts and grants
- Conduct independent research
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to the treatment of heart disease
Requirements
- Ph.D. in biomedical research
- 5-10 years of experience in bench science
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biomedical research
- 5-10 years of experience in bench science
