Assistant Manager - Recreation

About This Role

This role assists in managing all aspects of the pool and beach areas, focusing on maintenance, cleanliness, and cabana operations. It involves providing excellent service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and helping to maximize financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, supporting day-to-day recreation operations
• Monitor quality, standards, and customer expectations daily
• Schedule events, programs, activities, and employee work
• Provide personal assistance or care to coworkers and customers as needed
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work
• Support the management of outside vendors, including water sports and scuba
• Assist with managing group activities like sand painting, bonfires, and team building events
• Order and manage necessary supplies, ensuring equipment and tools are available
• Assist with managing the children's program, including activity coordination and equipment purchases
• Assist with managing pool and beach areas, including maintenance, upkeep, cleanliness, and cabana operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED AND 1 year experience in recreation/health club operations
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
• 1 year experience in recreation/health club operations or related professional area; no work experience required with a 2-year degree
