Assistant Maintenance Manager

About This Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance mechanics and works with robotics and controls systems technicians, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining operational efficiency. This role involves developing solutions, managing preventive maintenance, and serving as a client contact.

Responsibilities

• Model safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
• Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to develop skills and expand capabilities
• Develop solutions to difficult problems and manage outside contractors
• Provide complete oversight of preventive maintenance for the facility
• Serve as the point of contact for the client during the shift
• Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to meet all safety standards
• Meet operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor tracking
• Ensure accurate inventory tracking
• Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs
• Participate in the development and tracking of budgets

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior leadership experience
• Flexibility to work various shifts and alternative work schedules
• Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls
• Authorized to work in the hiring country without requiring company sponsorship

• Previous experience managing budgets and vendors
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) programs
• Experience in project management
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
