Assistant Food and Beverage Operations Manager

About This Role

Assist in supervising the daily operations of food and beverage/culinary services, focusing on guest and employee satisfaction while managing within budget constraints and ensuring compliance with standards and legal obligations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the ordering of F&B supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
• Supervise daily F&B shift operation and ensure compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures
• Support and supervise an effective monthly self-inspection program
• Operate all department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
• Supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
• Communicate areas that need attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
• Coordinate cleaning program in all F&B areas, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
• Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years food and beverage/culinary experience OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or Business Administration with 1 year food and beverage/culinary experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
• 3 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area with a high school diploma/GED, OR 1 year experience with a 2-year degree in a related field.
