About This Role

This role provides leadership in the planning and execution of high-level quality events and ceremonies that advance the mission of Kennesaw State University and its Athletics department, working collaboratively with staff and campus partners. It oversees all aspects of signature athletic events and donor hospitality, while also identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all donor events, including Hall of Fame, alumni weekends, away game tailgates, and the Annual Dot Martin Scholarship Golf Classic
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all donor hospitality for events such as basketball, baseball, and football premium seating
  • Coordinate all aspects of premium seating, including invoicing, renewals, ticketing questions, catering, and special requests
  • Coordinate assigned special Owl Fund initiatives (Giving Tuesday, National Women and Girls in Sports Day, Roundup program)
  • Manage the annual calendar of Owl Fund events
  • Serve as primary contact for premium seat ticket holders, providing customer service
  • Maintain financial and budget data, including records of expenditures for The Owls Fund and related expenses
  • Perform data analysis and reporting as the department liaison to the business office
  • Solicit gifts and cultivate relationships with donors giving up to the $5,000 level
  • Coordinate with athletic department sports and areas for the execution of specific fundraising events (sports alumni gatherings, sports fundraisers)
  • Oversee and coordinate assigned student staff, interns, and/or volunteers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in post-secondary education, business or related field
  • Two years of experience in athletics sales, donor relations, fundraising, or related field
  • Knowledge of NCAA regulations as they pertain to donors, premium events, and fundraising
  • Experience and knowledge of event planning and execution
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in post-secondary education, business or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in athletics sales, donor relations, fundraising, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Familiarity with Paciolan, Paciolan CRM, or other donor management system (e.g., Raiser's Edge)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite
