APP (PA) - CT Surgery

About This Role

Join the Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery team as a Physician Assistant specializing in CT surgery, assisting in cardiac surgical procedures, wound closures, and managing patient care post-surgery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 1st or 2nd assistant for all adult and pediatric cardiac surgical procedures.
• Perform wound closures and suturing.
• Execute balloon and chest tube insertion/removal and management.
• Participate in quality assurance conferences.
• Work regular hours Monday through Friday, with a minimum of one weekend call per month.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience
• Experience with harvesting saphenous vein grafts
• Experience with harvesting radial arteries
• Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C)
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certification
• Licensed by the California State Physician Assistant Board

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience required.
