About This Role

This internship provides an opportunity to participate in data collection, analysis, and dissemination of quantitative research projects within Kaiser Permanente Southern California Graduate Medical Education. The intern will assist with planning training workshops and evaluating existing informational resources for residents, fellows, and faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in data collection, analysis and dissemination of ongoing quantitative research projects
  • Assist with planning and implementation of various training workshops, including a large faculty development workshop and several research training workshops
  • Evaluate and refine existing informational resources for residents, fellows, and faculty to make them more accessible and useful
  • Collaborate with current residents, fellows, and faculty members as key stakeholders
  • Assist with the development of a leadership curriculum for residents
  • Assist with implementation of projects to improve well-being in GME
  • Collects, prepares, and tracks reports and summaries (e.g., budget, production statistics, utilization of services, statistical records)
  • Perform various data collection and analysis assignments
  • Prepare ad hoc data requests as directed
  • Prepare and/or format graphs, spreadsheets, and reports using office software

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program or recent graduate
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with a variety of software applications
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program Or recent graduate.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Access and database experience
  • Prior office experience
