This Aircraft Mechanic I role involves repairing and replacing aircraft wiring and electrical/avionics components for the aircraft Modification Work Order team, requiring independent work and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace aircraft wiring and electrical/avionic components as instructed in technical publications, IETMS, and modification work orders
- Build and terminate wiring harnesses of varying complexity and lengths
- Build and assemble MWO kits and components
- Read schematics, interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to test, validate, and install aircraft modifications
- Work independently or with a small group with little supervision
- Perform administrative actions related to aircraft forms and records, part ordering, and other actions on information systems
Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
- Own tools/toolbox
- 6+ years' experience in Army aviation
- Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook systems
- Experience using multi-meters and other electrical test equipment
- Ability to pass Basic solder certification
- Ability to pass solder vision testing
- Ability to pass a basic physical to operate/drive equipment
Qualifications
- 6+ years' experience in Army aviation
Nice to Have
- SOF aviation experience
- Previous MWO experience
