Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Head and Neck Surgery

About This Role

Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients within the Head and Neck Surgery department at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, collaborating with physicians and clinicians to manage acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician
• Collaborate with physician(s) and other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care
• Focus on preventive health or the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions
• Perform medical services specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and certifying organization
• Provide care during acute and chronic phases of illness
• Educate and counsel individuals and families
• Promote health and prevention
• Refer to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate

Requirements

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies for certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies for certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing or Masters Prepared PA-C
• 0 years of relevant experience required, 0-2 years preferred
