About This Role

Join the SIREN Clinical Coordinating Center as an Administrative Manager to serve as a high-level bridge between scientific faculty and administrative operations. This leadership role focuses on managing clinical trials, overseeing administrative functions, and contributing to the overall vision of a nationwide research organization.

Responsibilities

  • Establish operational objectives and manage daily operations for a portfolio of clinical trials
  • Provide leadership with suggestions for operational changes and contribute to SIREN CCC strategy
  • Ensure SIREN CCC meets measurable goals for operational effectiveness, customer service, and research attainment
  • Lead budget development for new research ideas and support clinical trial proposals
  • Exercise independent judgment within SIREN's established policies and program objectives
  • Supervise three positions within SIREN CCC continually and additional staff as needed
  • Participate in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new staff
  • Appraise employee productivity, provide coaching and training, and manage personnel actions
  • Oversee a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring projects meet study start-up tasks as scheduled
  • Act as the primary internal and external point of contact for stakeholders
  • Lead the contractual workflow and manage clinical research subcontracts and amendments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, Business Administration, Nursing or other health-related field
  • 2+ years of management experience (Associate level)
  • 3+ years of management experience (Intermediate level)
  • Project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills to produce detailed and accurate work
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving/decision making skills
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational lines and with diverse people
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, integrate, teach, and mentor teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, Business Administration, Nursing or other health related field
  • 2+ years of management experience; previous experience comparable to 2-3 years for Associate or 3+ years for Intermediate

Nice to Have

  • Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheets and database
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in research and financial administration for federally funded research
  • Prior role managing administrative and personnel oversight for a portfolio of clinical trials internally or within a clinical research organization (CRO) or federal agency
