Adjunct Occupational Therapy

About This Role

This Adjunct Occupational Therapy faculty position involves teaching and curriculum development. Faculty are expected to maintain knowledge in their discipline and pedagogy while contributing to program development and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop curriculum
• Prepare and provide students with course outlines that support learning objectives
• Develop and measure learning outcomes
• Assess student performance and maintain grade records
• Create an effective learning environment using various instructional methods
• Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for program reviews
• Work with program and/or discipline faculty to complete scheduled program reviews and revise curriculum
• Participate in appropriate professional development activities to assure currency in discipline knowledge and instructional methods
• Participate in department/discipline, division, campus, and college meetings and committees
• Participate in college projects, surveys, studies, and reports related to the discipline or program

Requirements

• Certification equal to or exceeding the level of program graduates
• Strong communication skills
• Post-secondary teaching experience
• Work experience in the discipline to be taught
• Knowledge of industry-related software and systems (where appropriate)
• Degrees from an accredited institution
