Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate level coursework and associated lab components in Biotechnology
• Cover definitions and scope of Biotechnology
• Introduce principles and application of Biotechnology in medical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, and environmental fields
• Explain molecular biology and application of molecular techniques in various fields
• Discuss forensic applications of Biotechnology
• Detail future roles of Biotechnology in human welfare
• Address biosafety and ethical issues in the study and applications of Biotechnology
• Introduce students to nucleic acids and basic information for their extraction and manipulation through laboratory experiences

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher with at least 15 graduate credits in Biology, Applied Biology, or related fields (Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology specialization)
• Completion of 30 hours in an accredited doctoral program is acceptable

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher with at least 15 graduate credits in Biology, Applied Biology, or related fields, with specialization in Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field; Completion of 30 hours in an accredited doctoral program is acceptable.
