Adjunct Faculty for Community Education will teach non-credit courses in various hands-on and creative subject areas to empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds to grow and connect through accessible learning opportunities. The role focuses on developing and delivering engaging artistic expression classes, supporting the community's diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach in assigned subject(s) and level(s) in new or existing programs
- Fulfill administrative requirements, meet established deadlines and complete required training
- Stay current in compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and Clery Act Campus Security Authority
- Agree to and follow appropriate College and department policies and procedures

- Documented record of successfully supporting learners in understanding and mastering new ideas and skills
- Competency and/or commitment to learn and use technologies commonly used in instruction at CLC: Microsoft Outlook, additional Microsoft applications, common classroom projection technology, Canvas Learning Management System, enrollment software
- Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
Nice to Have
- Two (2) years of successful, relevant teaching experience
- Appropriate credential or demonstrated mastery in the subject area(s) you are applying to teach, such as a degree from an accredited institution or a relevant industry certification or license
