Adjunct Botany Instructor

About This Role

This Adjunct Botany Instructor position involves teaching lower division lecture courses such as Plant Biology or Environmental Science to students at Weber State University. Opportunities may also exist for those with expertise in specific areas to teach upper division short courses or workshops.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower division lecture-only courses such as Plant Biology, Plants and People, and/or Principles of Environmental Science
• Teach upper division short courses or workshops based on specific discipline expertise

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Botany or a related field to teach lower division Botany courses
• OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year professional experience in a specific discipline for short courses or workshops
• For lower division courses, a minimum of one semester of teaching experience is required
• For discipline-specific short courses or workshops, a minimum of one year of professional work experience in that discipline is required

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Botany or a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree with one year professional experience in a specific discipline for short courses or workshops
• Minimum one semester of teaching experience for lower division courses; minimum one year of professional work experience for discipline-specific short courses/workshops
