About This Role

This role involves part-time instruction of students in EAP courses covering speaking/listening, writing/grammar, and reading/vocabulary. The instructor will teach up to three multilevel, three-credit hour courses.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students, part-time, in up to three multilevel EAP three-credit hour courses
  • Teach Speaking/Listening, Writing/Grammar, and/or Reading/Vocabulary EAP courses

Requirements

  • Master's degree in English, TESOL, Linguistics, Education or a closely-related discipline
  • Minimum of 18-credit graduate hours in TESL

  • Master's degree in English, TESOL, Linguistics, Education or a closely-related discipline with a minimum of 18-credit graduate hours in TESL

Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching adults English as a Second Language and/or English for Academic Purposes in a classroom setting
  • Prior teaching experience in a higher education academic setting, including community college level
  • Demonstrated understanding of a commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college
  • Working knowledge of a learning management system teaching platform (Canvas preferred)
  • Demonstrated teaching in various online formats (synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods)
