About This Role

Instruct Antelope Valley College students in Anthropology, with potential assignments including day, evening, online, and off-campus courses. This temporary, part-time role supports student success in a diverse academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in the assigned discipline (Anthropology)
  • Teach courses during the day, evening, online, and/or at off-campus sites

Requirements

  • Master's in anthropology or archaeology OR Bachelor's in anthropology/archaeology AND Master's in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics, or paleontology
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic background of community college students

Qualifications

  • Master's in anthropology or archaeology OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics, or paleontology

Nice to Have

  • Experience and/or willingness to teach dual enrollment courses at high school site
  • Experience and/or willingness to teach face-to-face courses at a prison site
