About This Role

Deliver high-quality addiction counseling services as part of a multidisciplinary team at Urbana Hospital. This role involves comprehensive case management, direct client treatment, and community education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client cases including assessment, treatment planning, case review, discharge planning, and crisis intervention
  • Provide direct services including individual and group therapy, urinalysis screening, and continuing care for chemically and nicotine dependent clients
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up and data collection for discharged clients
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services
  • Perform utilization review for assigned clients
  • Educate the community and team members on substance abuse, chemical dependency, and tobacco dependency
  • Maintain patient safety standards, departmental policies, and performance improvement standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, Arts, or related field
  • Previous experience in chemical dependency treatment
  • One of the following licenses: LCDC III, LICDC, LICDC-CS, LPC, LPCC-S, LSW, LPCC, or LISW

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Behavior Science or Arts, or other related field
  • Previous experience in the treatment of chemical dependency

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
  • Prior knowledge and experience with service line, computer, electronic medical records
