Accounting Technician

About This Role

Perform semi-professional accounting work for the California Franchise Tax Board within the Accounting Section, handling duties such as document sorting, distribution, scanning, and filing under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-professional accounting work in the Accounting Section
• Sort incoming documents
• Distribute documents
• Scan documents
• File documents

Nice to Have

• Experience in accounting/financial record keeping
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures associated with California's accounting structure
• Knowledge of the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal)
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience writing business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong public and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team enviroment
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible with changing priorities
