Process customer payments, manage billing and collections, and maintain accurate customer accounts to support daily accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate receivables for a hardware store chain.
Responsibilities
- Process and post customer payments (checks and ACH)
- Apply payments, reconcile customer accounts, and resolve discrepancies
- Review A/R aging reports and perform collections follow-ups
- Prepare and send customer invoices
- Maintain customer accounts, credit information, and tax-exempt records
- Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve issues
- Coordinate account matters with management and store teams
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer service and communication skills
- Basic proficiency with accounting software and Excel
Qualifications
- Accounts receivable or accounting clerk experience preferred
