About This Role

Process customer payments, manage billing and collections, and maintain accurate customer accounts to support daily accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate receivables for a hardware store chain.

Responsibilities

  • Process and post customer payments (checks and ACH)
  • Apply payments, reconcile customer accounts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Review A/R aging reports and perform collections follow-ups
  • Prepare and send customer invoices
  • Maintain customer accounts, credit information, and tax-exempt records
  • Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve issues
  • Coordinate account matters with management and store teams

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with accounting software and Excel

Qualifications

  • Accounts receivable or accounting clerk experience preferred
