Accountant

About This Role

Oversee and manage general accounting functions, ensure financial reporting accuracy, and maintain compliance for a growing logistics company. This role involves the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and supporting audit coordination and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with finance and business units
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting operations
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years Accounting experience
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting issues
