Accountant

About This Role

This role involves serving as an internal accountant for multiple client businesses, gaining hands-on experience with financials, and contributing to process improvements within a fast-paced, collaborative remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal accountant for multiple client businesses ($1-$30 million in revenue)
• Learn and exclusively use the company's delivery process
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
• Execute payroll journal entries and reconciliations
• Conduct month-end close processes and generate reports
• Assist with cash flow projections and budgeting
• Help onboard new clients, deploy new technology, and standardize accounting processes
• Train new employees on the delivery process
• Assist in documenting and refining the delivery process
• Support client CPAs for yearend closing and tax filing
• Perform other office administrative duties

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience as accountant or full charge bookkeeper
• Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Passion for using math skills in a financial setting
• Incredible attention to detail and a sense of urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience as an accountant or full charge bookkeeper

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of audit work for a CPA firm
• Experience with Xero, Intacct, or NetSuite
