Accountant

About This Role

This role involves serving as an internal accountant for multiple client businesses, managing various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, and assisting with financial planning to build a strong foundation for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal accountant for multiple client businesses ($1-$30 million in revenue)
• Learn and exclusively use the company's delivery process
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
• Prepare payroll journal entries
• Execute reconciliations and facilitate month-end close
• Generate financial reports
• Assist with cash flow projections and budgeting
• Help onboard new clients, deploy new technology, and standardize accounting processes
• Train new employees on delivery processes
• Document and refine delivery processes
• Support client CPAs for yearend closing and tax filing
• Perform other office administrative duties

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience as accountant or full charge bookkeeper
• Passion for using math skills in a financial setting
• Incredible attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Experience with Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience as accountant or full charge bookkeeper, and 2+ years of audit work for CPA firm preferred

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of audit work for CPA firm
• Experience with Xero
• Experience with Intacct
• Experience with NetSuite
