Accountant II

About This Role

The Accountant II applies moderately complex accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and coordinate accounting control implementation. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, analyzing general ledger accounts, and assisting with financial statements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare moderately complex journal entries for the general ledger system on a monthly basis
• Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals
• Collect and analyze financial data and prepare monthly combined financial statements and reports
• Participate in monthly financial meetings for discussion and review of monthly financial reports
• Assist with the preparation of year-end closings and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Provide guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans
• Prepare quarterly consolidation report for consolidation
• Assist with the maintenance and application of internal controls
• Prepare moderately complex financial reports in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) OR High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma/GED (accredited) with four years of relevant work experience
• 3 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)
