CDL Truck Driver Commercial

About This Role

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport waste or recyclable materials to designated facilities while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining efficient routes. Provide commercial and residential pick-up services, ensuring safe and timely collection.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks using DVIR
• Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch
• Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings
• Work closely with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices
• Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
• Notify Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed streets or heavy receptacles
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch
• Completely dump all receptacles and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris
• Follow route assignments as directed and complete end-of-day documentation and check-out process

Requirements

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
• 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
