Account Executive

About This Role

This Account Executive role at Amedisys involves educating healthcare professionals and patients about home care services while developing strong referral relationships to generate leads in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Educate healthcare professionals, patients, and families about home care services
• Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources (hospitals, nursing homes, physician offices) to generate leads
• Coordinate patient admissions with the team, including obtaining all required documentation
• Conduct on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and referrals
• Achieve admissions, product, and payor-mix goals
• Meet short and long-term target account goals
• Document minimum expectation of sales calls daily in CRM (including pre and post call notes)
• Maintain a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in territory in CRM
• Attend community events to promote Amedisys
• Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare related business development/outreach role
• Reliable transportation
• Current driver's license
• Liability insurance

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare related business development/outreach role.

Nice to Have

• Experience in outside sales/business development in the healthcare industry
• Background in cold calling customers in pharmaceuticals, medical device sales, hospital, home health, hospice or long-term care
• Bachelor's degree
