About This Role

Serve as an Academic Physician in General Internal Medicine, focusing primarily on outpatient care with a small academic inpatient component, while also teaching medical students and residents at West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Practice primarily in outpatient care with a small academic inpatient component for the Division of General Internal Medicine
• Collaborate with a team of over 25 outstanding and experienced internists
• Actively involve in the teaching of medical students and residents
• Sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program (for Associate or Professor rank)
• Provide excellent patient care

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
• Eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license
• Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent

• Special interest in global health
• Demonstrated track-record of leadership (for Associate or Professor rank)
• Excellent communication skills (for Associate or Professor rank)
• Publications in high-impact journals (for Associate or Professor rank)
