About This Role

Effectively represent homeowners against insurance companies in first-party property claims, managing a diverse caseload from inception to resolution. This role advocates for client rights and navigates complex insurance law within Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from inception to resolution
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration
  • Represent clients in court, including trials and hearings, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and clear explanations of legal strategies
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys
  • Stay abreast of developments in Texas insurance law and property claims

Requirements

  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Member of the Texas Bar and in good standing

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of litigation experience

Nice to Have

  • First Party Property Damage experience
