Workday HCM Functional Senior Consultant

About This Role

Lead Workday HCM functional workstreams for implementation and optimization projects, gathering business requirements and educating clients on Workday functionality for HR activities. This role involves managing workstream activities, configuration, and overseeing team resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workday Functional Workstreams for Workday implementation and optimization projects of Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Talent, Compensation, or other specializations)
• Gather business requirements while educating clients on Workday functionality as it relates to HR activities
• Facilitate workshops, demos and meetings to build consensus around business processes and design
• Manage workstream activities, including configuration and overseeing activities of on and offshore resources
• Serve as mentor to junior staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience leading Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more HCM product areas, including system configuration
• Minimum of 4+ years demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language
• Minimum of 4+ years of exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with ability to navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing project priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience leading workstreams as part of Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more areas of the HCM product, including configuration of the system.

Nice to Have

• Minimum of 4+ years of Experience working in consulting solutions for Fortune 500 or equivalent clients
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior staff
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced Excel modeling (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations; experience using Microsoft Visio to develop process flows or technical diagrams
