Workday HCM Functional Senior Consultant

About This Role

As a Workday HCM Functional Senior Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in Workday software to address clients' HR challenges. This role involves leading functional workstreams for Workday HCM implementations and optimizations, gathering business requirements, and educating clients on Workday functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workday Functional Workstreams for Workday implementation and optimization projects of Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Talent, Compensation, or other specializations as relevant)
• Gather business requirements while educating clients on Workday functionality as it relates to HR activities
• Facilitate workshops, demos and meetings to build consensus around business processes and design
• Manage workstream activities, including configuration and overseeing activities of on and offshore resources
• Serve as mentor to junior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
• 4+ years of experience leading Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more HCM product areas, including system configuration
• 4+ years demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language
• 4+ years of exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with ability to navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing project priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
• 4+ years of experience leading workstreams as part of Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more areas of the HCM product, including configuration of the system

Nice to Have

• Workday HCM Certification(s) in one or more HCM Modules
• 4+ years of Experience working in consulting solutions for Fortune 500 or equivalent clients
• 2+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior staff
• 2+ years of experience with advanced Excel modeling (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations
• Experience using Microsoft Visio to develop process flows or technical diagrams
