Workday HCM Functional Senior Consultant

About This Role

As a Workday HCM Functional Senior Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in Workday software to address clients' HR challenges, leading functional workstreams for implementations and optimizations, and educating clients on Workday functionality. You will facilitate workshops, manage activities, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workday Functional Workstreams for Workday HCM implementation and optimization projects, specializing in modules like Core HR, Talent, or Compensation.
• Gather business requirements and educate clients on Workday functionality related to HR activities.
• Facilitate workshops, demos, and meetings to build consensus on business processes and design.
• Manage workstream activities, including configuration and overseeing the activities of on and offshore resources as needed.
• Serve as a mentor to junior staff.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Apply exceptional problem-solving capabilities to navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing project priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience leading Workday implementations with knowledge in 2+ HCM modules and configuration
• Minimum of 4+ years demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 4+ years of exceptional problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience leading workstreams as part of Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more areas of the HCM product, including configuration of the system. Minimum of 4+ years demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Minimum of 4+ years of exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Workday HCM Certification(s) in one or more HCM Modules
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience working in consulting solutions for Fortune 500 or equivalent clients
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior staff
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced Excel modeling and developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations
• Experience using Microsoft Visio to develop process flows or technical diagrams
