Workday Financials Senior Consultant

About This Role

Lead project workstreams and provide functional design, prototyping, testing, and user training for Workday Financials implementations. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver transformational solutions for finance and supply-chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams
• Identify and document business requirements
• Provide functional design and prototyping, including scenario design and flow mapping
• Conduct testing and user training
• Define support procedures
• Coordinate schedules and create documentation and collateral
• Create and execute test/use cases
• Configure Workday software
• Assist with prioritization and sequencing of workstream efforts
• Assist project leadership

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• 2+ years of experience leading workstreams or small teams
• Workday Financials Professional certification or capability to obtain upon joining
• A minimum of 1 full life cycle Workday Financial implementation
• Hands-on functional experience
• Proficiency in multiple business processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash)
• Ability to travel 50% on average

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, with 2+ years leading workstreams or small teams, and at least one full life cycle Workday Financial implementation

Nice to Have

• Other leading Cloud based SaaS financial application implementation experience (NetSuite, Fusion Intact, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Lawson)
• An advanced degree in the area of specialization
• Strong functional knowledge around financial systems and processes
• Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation
• A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
• Willingness to mentor junior staff
• Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries
• Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Ability to collaborate with clients
