Workday Finance Lead

About This Role

The Workday Finance Lead will be responsible for managing tickets related to Workday finance modules, discussing issues with clients, and providing post-production support. This role involves system administration for improvements and change requests, knowledge transfer, end user documentation, and leading a team of Workday finance professionals for Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for intake of tickets (questions issues, inquiries) for Workday finance modules
• Review and discuss issues with client around Workday Finance modules
• Lead client sessions
• Responsible for post-production support and system administration around improvements and change requests
• Provide knowledge transfer and end user documentation
• Lead a team of Workday finance professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• 3+ years of Workday Financials experience
• Experience with Workday General Ledger, Financial Accounting, AR/AP
• 3+ years of experience with financial activities (month/year end close, general ledger, core financial accounting, AR/AP, grants management, supplier accounts)
• Active Workday Financials certification
• Reside within commutable distance to a US Delivery Center location (Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• 3+ years of experience Workday Financials experience to include issues resolution and configuration changes, General Ledger, Financial Accounting, and AR/AP. 3+ years of experience with financial activities including Month end/ year end close, General ledger accounts, Core financial accounting knowledge, AR/AP activities, Grants management, and Supplier accounts.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial accounting
