Wire Harness Design and Development Engineer

About This Role

This role involves designing and developing wire harnesses for automotive applications, including defining components for the 3D Experience library and researching new components with suppliers. The engineer will also assist with modeling standards and manage new component requests.

Responsibilities

• Define and add components to the standard component library in 3D Experience.
• Research components and contact suppliers for wire harness components.
• Assist with the completion of clip and connector rear views in the Capital Symbol Library.
• Assist with the development of 3DX modeling standards, especially regarding library interface.
• Manage new component requests from Jira and maintain accurate status of 3DX components and symbols.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with 3D Experience, CATIA V6, or CATIA V5.
• Self-starter and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
• Very detail-oriented.

Nice to Have

• Experience electrifying electrical components for wire harnesses or other electrical components in a standard parts library setting.
• C++ and EKL knowledge for developing automations within 3DX.
• Siemens Capital Mentor Graphics experience.
