Design Release Engineer

About This Role

Lead component and system-level design and release for internal combustion engines for Ford, managing BOM, WERS release, supplier coordination, and engineering change control. This role involves DVP&R ownership, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and launch leadership, ensuring successful development and rigorous testing of engine components.

Responsibilities

• Perform component & system-level design and release for engine components
• Own DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report) activities
• Manage Engine BOM (Bill of Material) and WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System) release
• Coordinate with suppliers and control engineering changes
• Lead APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and launch processes
• Coordinate DV/PV (Design Validation/Production Validation) testing
• Coordinate prototype builds
• Oversee engine subsystem development using CATIA/Teamcenter

Requirements

• 6+ years of internal combustion engine development experience
• Strong design & release background
• Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degree
• Deep knowledge of engine systems & manufacturing
• CATIA proficiency
• Teamcenter proficiency
• Ford experience
