Warehouse Pallet Inspector

About This Role

This role involves inspecting and repairing pallets at a warehouse manufacturing facility, using various power and hand tools to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Use pneumatic nail gun, powered saw, and other powered/hand tools to repair or assemble pallets
• Place pallets on a repair table, remove defective boards, replace with new boards, and secure boards into place
• Inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety regulations
• Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a conveyor and for inspection using a Smetco machine
• Conduct physical inventories as required
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to operate power equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
• Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
• Ability to follow inspecting process
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry or Manufacturing environment preferred
