Truck Driver CDL A

About This Role

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join their team in Carrollton, Texas. This role involves local deliveries, operating a Day Cab tractor with a Dry Van trailer, and handling HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Ability to pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to pass a Ryder road test
• Appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
• Hazmat Endorsement Required
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Qualifications

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within the last 10 years in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

Nice to Have

• Experience with Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Forklift
