Warehouse Order Selector (Dry Grocery)

About This Role

This role involves accurately selecting, gathering, and preparing dry grocery products for delivery to customers. You will operate warehouse equipment and ensure orders meet safety and quality standards, contributing to feeding local communities.

Responsibilities

• Pick various items using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stack items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensure accuracy to orders while adhering to safety standards
• Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack and place on pallet
• Apply selection labels to appropriate cases (where applicable)
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product and prevent damages
• Inform Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Perform equipment inspections and complete appropriate forms
• Safely lift varying case weights, shapes, and heights frequently
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Ability to stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of shift
• Ability to walk between 6-12 miles per day
• Ability to safely handle sharp objects including box cutting tools

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies
