Warehouse Material Handler

About This Role

This role is responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, including tires and auto parts, within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This involves operating industrial vehicles, managing inventory, and contributing to a culture of safety.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and stock tires and auto parts in the warehouse using industrial vehicles like forklifts or picker equipment
• Use scanners for inventory control, finding and putting away tires
• Consistently lift 50 pounds throughout the shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds; perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment for commercial tires
• Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires
• Work safely at heights up to 25 feet while operating equipment
• Work on feet for extended periods and be available for overtime as needed
• Adhere to all safety policies and operating procedures, contributing to a safe work culture
• Assist other departments such as ecomm, inventory, and will call based on business needs

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment
• 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
• Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work at heights of 25 feet while operating equipment and maintaining safety standards
• Ability to pass forklift certification
• Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (not testing for THC/marijuana)
