Warehouse Administrative Assistant

About This Role

This role is for an Administrative Customer Coordinator to perform administrative tasks, maintain filing systems, and interact with customers regarding shipments and claims.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks for area or shift
• Maintain filing systems and documents per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Interact with customers and contractors, answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claims
• Coordinate processing of export orders, filling out export paperwork, generating export labels, and maintaining export paperwork
• Process returns in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintain paperwork
• Manage pallets by ordering CHEP and white wood pallets, conducting reconciliation of pallet count, and researching large pallet system variances
• Update area or shift metrics using the location's WMS system

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience as a clerk in a warehouse/distribution environment performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendor and customers
• Knowledge of WMS systems
• Experience operating forklift equipment
