Vice President, Fund Finance

About This Role

This role involves managing financing solutions for Apogem Capital's investment structures and funds, including subscription-backed credit facilities and bespoke investment specific financing. The professional will bridge the gap between private credit and credit operations teams, playing a vital part in liquidity management and strategic support.

Responsibilities

• Manage financing solutions for Apogem Capital's investment structures and funds, including subscription-backed credit facilities, bespoke investment specific financing solutions, credit facilities for evergreen investment structures, interval funds, BDCs, and implementation of letters of credit
• Assist senior team members with deal structuring and negotiating financings across different products and asset classes
• Day-to-day management of leverage facilities, including borrowing base calculations, preparation of borrowing notices, reportable events, and assigned values for underlying assets
• Utilize financing facilities and capital calls to manage liquidity for new asset purchases and draws on unfunded commitments
• Support the asset allocation team by way of liquidity and strategy
• Work with the credit operations team and finance team on reporting/compliance
• Work with various internal teams regarding capital availability
• Perform portfolio analytics
• Assist with weekly management reports and analyze investment finance
• Provide formal and informal training of internal stakeholders
• Lead team initiatives and proactively identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• 7+ years of fund financing and/or capital markets experience in a leading bank, medium sized to large Private Credit Investment Management firm or BDC
• Exceptional understanding of the fund financing markets including understanding of various products (e.g. subscription lines, NAV facilities) and execution processes
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Self-driven team player with a strong desire to make meaningful contributions and a positive impact
• Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Intellectual curiosity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7+ years of fund financing and/or capital markets experience in a leading bank, medium sized to large Private Credit Investment Management firm or BDC

Nice to Have

• Advanced certification or degree (e.g., CPA, CFA, CAIA, MBA/JD)
• Network in the private market community, among lenders, GPs and law firms
• Understanding and negotiating experience of facility documentation across multiple asset classes and markets (Americas, Europe, Asia)
