Join New York Life Direct to revolutionize the life insurance experience for AARP members, making coverage accessible, affordable, and understandable. This role handles a high volume of customer inquiries and educates on product features.
Responsibilities
- Handle high volume of inbound customer and sales agent inquiries
- Communicate and educate on product features, benefits and contract provision details
- Handle most customer interactions independently
- Explain information in functional area
- Maintain satisfactory level of key performance indicators according to departmental requirements
Requirements
- Accountable, ethical, good decision-making ability
- Problem solving / ability to assess and take appropriate action
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer navigation skills and ability to multitask
Qualifications
- High school diploma, or GED from an accredited school required
- Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or call center experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience
- Bilingual – Spanish
- Prior experience within the insurance industry
