About This Role

This role involves leading and developing the Underwriting Account Servicing team to deliver value-added services for large property accounts. The manager will oversee operational activities, manage performance, and serve as a key point of contact for customers and underwriting leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational activities associated with high volume, mid-size to large accounts
  • Manage a team of 5-7 Underwriting Associates, end to end and as the point of contact for customers and underwriting leadership
  • Ensure teams meet key operational performance goals
  • Perform regular performance evaluations
  • Manage the workflow and distribution of work amongst team members
  • Perform customer service and account management responsibilities, as needed, resolving issues related to billing, making changes to policies and answering policy coverage questions
  • Participate in key account business relationships in person or teleconference with Underwriters
  • Provide oversight and lead key checkpoint processes for teams
  • Coordinate relevant agenda, communications, and discussion points for regional meetings and trainings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate’s Degree and 4 or more years’ experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree with Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice or High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or 6 or more years with a High School Diploma
