Manage non-litigated auto claims involving bodily injury, physical damage, and third-party property damage for commercial accounts. Apply expertise in auto policy interpretation and coverage analysis while delivering customer-centric service within defined authority limits.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide a quality claims experience
- Apply knowledge of established protocols and industry best practices to resolve claims effectively
- Deliver customer-centric service while managing claims within defined authority limits
- Develop expertise in coverage analysis and auto policy interpretation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an Associate Degree) with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance
- Prior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field
- Understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance with a Bachelor's, or 4+ years with a High School Diploma
Nice to Have
- Experience in Commercial Auto Claims, including handling third-party auto property damage, auto physical damage, and bodily injury claims
- Active adjuster license
- Experience collaborating across teams and developing strong relationships
- Strong knowledge of the claims adjustment process, including scope/exposure assessment
- Familiarity with vendor management and litigation strategies
- Proficiency in financial and actuarial/reserving concepts
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Customer service experience with a focus on delivering quality interactions
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
