About This Role

Manage non-litigated auto claims involving bodily injury, physical damage, and third-party property damage for commercial accounts. Apply expertise in auto policy interpretation and coverage analysis while delivering customer-centric service within defined authority limits.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide a quality claims experience
  • Apply knowledge of established protocols and industry best practices to resolve claims effectively
  • Deliver customer-centric service while managing claims within defined authority limits
  • Develop expertise in coverage analysis and auto policy interpretation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance OR Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an Associate Degree) with 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance
  • Prior experience in auto claims handling, insurance claims, or a related customer service field
  • Understanding of auto insurance policies, coverage, and state regulations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance with a Bachelor's, or 4+ years with a High School Diploma

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Commercial Auto Claims, including handling third-party auto property damage, auto physical damage, and bodily injury claims
  • Active adjuster license
  • Experience collaborating across teams and developing strong relationships
  • Strong knowledge of the claims adjustment process, including scope/exposure assessment
  • Familiarity with vendor management and litigation strategies
  • Proficiency in financial and actuarial/reserving concepts
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service experience with a focus on delivering quality interactions
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
