Unarmed Security Officer

About This Role

Perform security-related duties as an Unarmed Security Officer, including patrolling, access control, monitoring surveillance, and reporting incidents, while ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor exterior and community areas on-premises
• Control access of entrances and exits for employees and visitors
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities
• Read, write, speak, and understand English
• Understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents
• Effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines
• Use provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements

Requirements

• Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer
• Knowledgeable of the security industry
• Customer service-driven mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clients
• VA DCJS Unarmed certification
• CPR/First Aid certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED) recognized by the U.S. or Associates Degree
• Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer
