About This Role

Operate Ultrasound and Non-Invasive Vascular equipment to perform examinations for patients at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. This role involves patient assessment, quality monitoring, and ensuring optimal equipment performance to support the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound examinations as established in the Radiology/Ultrasound Procedure Guide
• Provide ongoing patient assessment through observation and records, reporting findings accurately and on time
• Assist in the development of others through guidance and teaching
• Promote professional practice of all members of the radiological services care team
• Participate in quality monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure hospital, DNV, and other quality standards are met
• Ensure equipment performance is optimum, performing quality control tests and adjustments to maximize image quality
• Obtain required Continuing Education and Certification necessary for Ultrasound Lab accreditation with the ACR
• Coordinate patient care or department related communications among all radiological services team members
• Attend and participate in departmental/hospital committees or group meetings as appointed or assigned
• Maintain supply inventory, including film, drugs, and other expendable supplies

Requirements

• Associates Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

• Associates Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• No prior work experience preferred
