Truck Driver Non CDL Regional

About This Role

Ryder is hiring a Non CDL Truck Driver for regional routes based in Alabaster, AL. This role involves safely operating a straight or box truck to deliver freight, with responsibilities for compliance, safety, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Must have box truck and delivery experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience, specifically in a straight truck or box truck within the last 3 years; alternatively, 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years.
